Robert was born on 27th Jun 1915 in Edinburgh, the third child of Andrew Keddie and Charlotte Menzies.
Robert married three times. On 9th October 1936, when he was 21, he married Beatrix Thomson McEvoy in Edinburgh.
In 1945, after he and Beatrix were divorced, Robert married Emma Williams in Ruthin, North Wales.
In 1958 Robert married Dorothy Swanson McDonald in Edinburgh.
Robert died of a heart attack in Edinburgh on 17th April 1970.
