William Keddie (1852 - 1900) William was born about 1852 in Stow, Selkirkshire. He was the son of James Keddie and Helen Hutson. In 1871 he was a boarder at Grove Hill Lodge in Kelso, and worked as a coachman. On 4 May 1876 he married Jane Mason in England. In 1881 he and his family were living with his parents at Lowood Lodge in Melrose. In 1882 and 1883 they lived at Riddell Mill in Lilliesleaf, where he was employed as a gardener. After Jane's death in 1883 he married Annie Elder on 3 December 1886 at Darnick, Melrose. William died on 14 August 1900 at 146 Cathcart Street, Kinning Park, Glasgow from Nephritis and pneumonia.
