John Keddie (1845 - ) John was born in Selkirk sometime around 1845. In 1851, at the age of 5, he went to school in Fala, where he lived with his family at Nether Brotherston. At the age of 16 he was working as a ploughman at Carfraemill in Channelkirk. No more details are known about his life. |
