James Keddie (1874 - 1924) James was born on 21st September 1874 at Magdala Terrace, Galashiels. He was the eldest son of Andrew Keddie and Margaret Cavers. He attended St Peter's Episcopalian School in Galashiels at least between 1882 and 1887. At 16 years old James was working as a wool carder at the wool factory, ten years later in 1926 he was a power loom tuner. He married Margaret Muir on 27th February 1903 at Stagehall, in Stow. James died on 10th August 1924 from angina, aged 49, at 10 Paton Street in Galashiels. |
Margaret Muir ( 1876 - 1924) Margaret was born about 1876 in Stow, Midlothian. She was the daughter of George Muir and Mary Park. Margaret lived in Stagehall until her marriage to James in 1903. She was employed as a domestic servant. She died after 1924. details currently unknown. |
