Andrew Hutson (1830 - 1908) Andrew was born in Castleside, Ashkirk on 2 March 1830. He was the sixth child of James Hutson and Margaret Stoddart. Andrew died on 16 August 1908 in MacNab Township, Renfrew County, Ontario.

In 1841 Andrew still lived in Castleside. He was 10 years old. He emigrated with his family to Canada when he was 14 in 1844. In 1851 he was recorded as a 21 year old farm labourer in the 1851 census of Canada East, Canada West, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He was living in McNab Township. In the 1871 census for Ontario, when he is 42, Andrew was a farmer, still living in McNab Township. In the 1901 census he was still living in McNab Township at the age of 71, but was now a farm labourer.
